A Long Lost Blogger is Back! ;)

So here I am. I've been telling myself that I'll sit down and get a post written for a few weeks now, but it just hasn't happened- obviously. But, here I am! Since I've been gone a while this post will just be a mixture of random stuff. ;)

The Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan. These are some great books! I finished the latest one a couple of days ago and now have to wait a month until the last one comes out. Waiting can be so hard! But, it's not like it left on a cliff hanger. The last book is going back in the series, and the tenth one ended with a good, final ending. Still, I really wish I didn't have to wait for this one. Have you read the books?

Captain America. We went to see it a few weeks ago, and it was good! I really liked it. It far surpassed the other superhero movies I've seen in theaters this year (Thor and  Green Lantern). Can't wait until it comes out on dvd. :)

Baking is fun. People, let's face it, I'd bake something everyday if I could. A few weeks ago I made a Blackberry Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake. Judging by the way it was gone in a few days I think everyone liked it. The other day I made brownies. Homemade brownies are so much better than the mixes you get at the store. And, yes, the brownies are going fast, too. ;)

The Eagle. We got the movie from Netflix about a week ago and I really want to watch it! I might watch it later. If I do Josh will probably watch it with me. I hope he does because watching movies by yourself isn't any fun. Have you seen it?

I'll be the first to admit, this isn't the most interesting post. But it's a post, and right now I just need to get one up. I will leave you with a few of the pictures I've taken lately. Have a good week!

Saturday Fun

Last Saturday Mom, Lindsay, Josh, and I went shopping. I usually don't take money with me when we go to Target or the bookstore or wherever. Just because, if I have it there to spend, I'll more than likely find something to spend it on. So, it's not very often that I actually have some with me to spend... if I want. ;)  And, as you'll see, Saturday I brought money with me... and spent it. ;)

First we went to Hastings where I got these:

I know I could have gotten them cheaper somewhere else, but I loved the cover art! Especially Waverley's. :)

Then we went to Beall's, where I got these:

Okay, y'all need to know that two pairs were $6.00, one was $7.20, and the last was $3.00!! Yes, they were having a big sale. I am very happy with my purchases. Cheap purchases, I might add. ;)

On the way home we stopped at Sonic for Happy Hour, and the fun day ended with my all time favorite meal- hamburgers and French fries. So good! :)

Did you have a good weekend?

Pictures From Our Day Trip

I bet y'all have been on pins and needles waiting for me to post these pictures! ;) Okay, maybe not, but here are a few pictures I took on our day trip up to a nearby lake a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

Hope you liked them! :)

My Guitar

So here are a few pictures of my guitar. :) Yes, I'm still loving it. ;)

I love the fleur de lis at the top of the guitar. Definitely one of my favorite parts of it. :)

Ice and Icicles

Since the snow (we ended up getting 8 or 9 inches) there has been ice and icicles. The icicles will melt some during the day, and then that water on the ground freezes up during the night.  There are small, cute icicles-

To really big ones-

You can't really tell in the pictures, but the two really big ones are about 3 feet long. And, no, I'm not exaggerating. Pop said so himself, and Pop doesn't exaggerate like I do. So there. ;) Talk about steer clear when they fall!

Then there's ice-

Right now we're pretty much not walking on concrete areas and just staying in the snow. It's much safer. ;) I don't know when the snow is going to melt. Today the high is 34 degrees. This is the first day it's supposed to be above freezing temperature in about a week. It's been minus something at night for the past week, too. Yikes! : O

For now I'm just enjoying winter and not really looking forward to summer. ;)

Goodbye 2010

In a few hours it will be a new year. It will be January 1, 2011. Does that freak any of you out, because it seems just like yesterday it was January 1, 2010. How time flies.

It's fun, at the end of one year, to think back at what's happened during that year. To see what you've done, accomplished, and haven't gotten to yet. You almost have to look back to look ahead and see what you need to get done. So that you can make a new list of things you want to accomplish.

So now I say, goodbye 2010. It was a good year, but it's almost over. And I'm ready for a new one.

Toby Got Dressed Up

A few weeks ago I dressed Toby up for a photo shoot. Aren't his Santa hat and bell collar just adorable? I sure think so! Usually he pulls his hat off right after you put it on him, but this time he didn't because I had treats. ;)

He's too cute!!

Sugar Cookies

The other day Josh and I made some sugar cookies. This is the second year we've made them, and I think it's kind of becoming a tradition. :) He likes to ice them, then I go and decorate. We have a lot of fun together! :)
