What I've Been Up To...

I am so sorry about not posting in awhile! Where does the time go?! I will just tell everyone what I've been up to lately.

Let's see, I have started getting up early, anywhere between 6:00 and 6:30 and discovered that I love it. I know, shocking! :) I may not love the getting out of a warm bed in the dark part, but once up it's lovely!

As of late I have been spending more time in the kitchen than usual making breakfast, supper, and/or dessert and so have appropriately been nicknamed Miss Betty Crocker! :) I like that nickname, don't you?

School has also been keeping me busy. Thanks to a few of my extra breaks I will be doing science and a little math into the summer. I certainly don't mind though, because after a few weeks into summer break I'm already bored! I wish that instead of summer break there was a fall or winter break. The weather is so much more agreeable during those months. I couldn't really help those breaks though because it's near impossible to read science and remember anything with people working on the house. I mean, the hammers, drills, talking, etc... plus it's just too exciting. :) I have a hard enough time remembering what I am learning about anyway. ( I am not very good at science) All the facts about electricity, the magnetic force, and everything else that comes with General Science go in and out of my head within minutes. But, as long as I do okay on the tests I'm good.

Besides the usual writing letters, reading, etc... that's all that I can think of that I've been doing.

I hope that everyone has a blessed evening and wonderful weekend!

For Him,

Me, Mr. Tumnus?!

As Tumnus you may be a bit timid and shy. But you are conscientious, caring and friendly and respected by your friends. You hope to set a new trend with your cool beard.

Yes, I took the Narnia personality quiz off of
http://www.jamiefrost.co.uk/narniaquiz/. I was very surprised to find out that I was Mr. Tumnus, especially since I wanted to be either Susan or Lucy. Hey, what girl doesn't want to come out being them after taking the quiz?! :)

Although at the beginning he wasn't very good, his heart was soon touched by Lucy's sweet and innocent childlike trust. Mr. Tumnus was one of my favorite characters in the first movie and now I know why. :) I don't know about "setting a new trend with my cool beard" but I like everything else in his description! :)

Overall, I thought it was a fun quiz to take and interesting to discover who I was most like in the Narnia series. If you take the quiz, please leave me a comment letting me know who you turned out to be!

Thanks,

Resurrection Sunday!

Luke 24: 1-12

The Resurrection

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7' The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8 Then they remembered his words.

9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. 12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

I love verses 5-8. They plainly state how Jesus's death and resurrection had been prophesied long before it happend. And how Jesus had told them what was going to happen to him.

Me and my family watched The Passion this past week as a reminder of what He went through for us. It was so hard to watch him being beaten, flogged, spit on, and nailed to the cross. It was my first time to watch it and it made me want to love and serve Him with a new fervor! I am so glad that we watched it!

I hope that everybody has a wonderful and glorious Easter!

With love,
