Buzzing Bees and Flowers

Well, as you can see, the bees have found the flowers blooming in our yard. It's fun to take pictures of them. I don't really mind bees, so the fact that there were some buzzing around me and flying by didn't bother me much. Well, it didn't bother me until a big black bee came and started doing it too. I should say I don't mind the little yellow ones, but do mind the big black ones. ;)

O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures...These all look to you to give them their food in due season; when you give to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things. Psalm 104:24-28

Randomness...

I saw this a couple of days ago and thought it was pretty funny. :)

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.

George Phillips, an elderly man, from Meridian, Mississippi, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.
George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?"
He said "No, but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me."
Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available.."
George said, "Okay."
He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again.
"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed.. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I just shot and killed them both, the dogs are eating them right now." and he hung up.
Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence, and caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George , "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"
(True Story)

On a different note, has anyone else (besides me) *fallen in love* with "Alice's Theme" from Alice In Wonderland? I know the movie's weird and all, but I just really like the theme for it. :)

More Pictures :)

I was really excited when I saw this flower because it's the first one in the backyard this year. I turned the pictures to black and white and sepia, but decided to only use the black and white ones. :) I know the lines aren't right, but I've been playing around with them for a long time and am hungry for lunch. Where's Lindsay when I need her? She could have fixed the whole line thing... Oh well, I guess they don't look any different if the lines are right or not. ;)

P.S. As I post flower pictures it's snowing! Yesterday it was in the 50's and today it's cold and snowing... weird.

Rollerblading Fun

Yesterday, since Mom and Lindsay were out shopping and Pop was at work (that means a car free garage), me and Josh went rollerblading... one of our favorite things. :) We had lots of fun and took lots of pictures, so I thought I'd share a few.

Part of our driveway is like a hill, so we would go to the top (where the rocks are) and then rollerblade down. :)

He kept pretending he was Apolo Ohno and would "speed skate" out of the garage. Guess who watched the olympics. ;)

Yours truly...

Yippee!!

I just got back from an orthodontist appointment and guess what?! He (the orthodontist) said, if everything goes well I should be getting my braces off the appointment after the next. So, hopefully, in about two months I'll no longer be a brace face. ;) *smiles big smile*

Eldarwen's New Tag, Pandas, and Ostriches

That's right, Eldarwen made up a tag and tagged all her followers! So, yep, that includes me! :)

I thought this picture was really cute. It looks like it's playing an instrument. :)

~

1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? England!! That would be a total dream trip!

2. Why did you start blogging? Well, I don't know why, but I started looking at blogs and later decided I wanted my own. I thought it would be a lot of fun! :)

3. What is your ambition? To serve the Lord and do whatever he wants me to do.

4. How many siblings do you have? I have two older sisters and one younger brother, so, add it up, and you get three.

5. What's your favorite subject in school? It used to be spelling, but now it's a tie between spelling and history.

6. What is your favorite Bible verse? I like the 23rd Psalm best.

7. What is one of your hobbies? I really like to take pictures. My favorite things to take pictures of are clouds, sunsets, and flowers.

8. If someone handed you a five dollar bill, what would you do with it?
a. slip it in your wallet and think, "Ooh, this will buy me a yummy meal at Sonic!"
b. shove it in your pocket and forget about it, then while you're doing laundry you find it and say, "Hey, mom! Here's that five dollar bill I got the other day!"
c. give it to your younger sibling. It's just five dollars.
d. use it to buy that homeless man a meal.

I wouldn't do any of those, I'd save it.

9. If your sibling came to you with their math book and asked for help, you'd say:
a. "Oh, here, let me help you."
b. "Too bad. I'm not good at math. Go ask mom."
c. "I'm sorry, I'm not very good at math. Can you go ask someone else?"
d. "I'm not good at math, but I'll try!"

Since I pretty much stink at math, I'd probably try to help them, but end up sending them to Mom.

10. If you could have one of the following abilities, which would it be?
a. singing
b. sewing
c. skateboarding
d. song writing
e. guitar playing
f. swimming
g. writing
h. riding a bike

I'd like to write funny stories for little kids. :)

~

I tag anyone who wants to do it. :)

Here's a weird fact: An ostriche's eyes are bigger than it's brain. Did any of y'all know that? It's one of those interesting and fun things to know, but is totally useless and never comes in handy unless you're taking a test on ostriches or something. So, yeah it never comes in handy.

Until next time...

So is this. *sigh*

Cute, cute, and did I mention cute?!

Priceless...

Are they like secret agent monkeys or something? I guess. Hmm... very interesting.

Well, that's it for tonight. Goodnight y'all!

Guess Who

Do any of y'all know who played the villain in Little Dorrit? Well, if you don't, I am very excited to be the one to tell you who it is! Okay, does he look familiar?

Yep, it's none other than.. you guessed it, Andy Serkis.

Can you see a resemblance?

Meet Rigaud

Let me tell you, he was a really, really, really bad guy. I knew he played the bad guy before we watched the movie, so I was sitting there waiting for him to appear for about half an hour. I know, it's pitiful, but I was so excited when he finally came in. His French accent and the weird song he's always humming is enough to throw anyone off. If I hadn't already known who played Rigaud, I would've never guessed Andy Serkis. So, overall, I thought he played his character really well and think he's just good at playing the bad guy. ;)

Okie-dokie, I hope y'all enjoyed that little tid bit of information. :)
