Our Cat...Sam!

Okay, I haven't ever mentioned Sam before, have I? Well, he is another stray cat that "adopted" us. We just fed him one day and he never left! I'm glad he didn't, because he's so sweet, cute and totally laid back!

Last week Mom brought Sammy inside and gave him a flea bath. We weren't planning on it, but he's wanted and tried to come in for a long time and it just turns out that he had run out of patience with us. So he started doing silly things to make us worry about him and bring him in, like laying in the street, pretending he adopted another family, etc... Well, it worked. Like I said, we brought him in and he loves being a house cat; well as long as our dog Toby leaves him alone he does. :)

He is going to the vet tomorrow morning to get his shots, checked for heart worms, etc... So then, after that, he will be what I call "an official house cat!" Here is a picture of him that
my sister took when he was outside.

Isn't he just adorable?! I'll post some more pictures of him as soon as we get some of him inside.

Books I have Been Reading

Lately I have been reading the Elsie Dinsmore series and yesterday I finished it for the first, of what will probably be many, times. It was kind of sad finishing it. I've been reading them for awhile now, and this time I can't just go get the next one in the series, I have to go find another book to read. They are some of my favorite books because they are not only very interesting, but they teach you life lessons and show you what a happy family really looks like.

So... now that I have finished the series, this is what you will find sitting on my night table:

How to Be A Lady

Mary Jones and Her Bible

The first book I received for my birthday. I have been wanting to read it for awhile, but never could find the time. It sounds really good and I can't wait to start reading it.

The second one is a book from the Lamplighter series. I have always enjoyed those books a good deal and look forward to reading another one.

So those are the books I have been reading and the ones I am going to read. I hope everyone is having a good week!

An Award And Some News

Hello everyone,
I received this cute little award from
Sarah H. Thank you so much, Sarah, I like it!

I am now going to award:

McKenzie Elizabeth

Lindsay

Okay, I'm sorry I haven't posted this week, but my Blogger page was messed up for a couple of days so I couldn't.

We are going to take another trip! This time it's to see our grandparents. Yeah, remember when the tires on our van had leaks? Well we never were able to schedule another visit. We will be leaving tomorrow and getting home on Sunday.

And just so everyone knows, it looks like the moving company will be packing us. I'm sorry I'm so back and forth on just about everything, but that's literally how we are here. One day we'll decide on one thing, the next we'll change our mind.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Blessings,

Finally Home...

For those of you who don't know, we left yet again for another trip last Monday and got back yesterday afternoon. To say the least it was a successful trip because we found a house we liked and were able to get it! Everyone is really excited! :) That was a huge blessing and answer to prayers!

We have decided that, although we need to be out of here in three weeks, it would be best if we packed...everything. That will keep us really busy! I think we're just going to spend today resting and relaxing (as much as possible) and then look into getting lots of boxes Monday so we can start all that packing.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to pray for me and my family! We really, really appreciate each and every one of them. Thanks again!!

Okay, I just wanted to update everyone a little on what's been happening here. Y'all are probably really tired of hearing about it so if you are, sorry! I promise I'll try to post some other things soon.

Change of Plans

I just wanted to let everybody know that we ended up not leaving this morning. Mom and Pop decided that it would be too much to try to go back so soon. It wouldn't be anything if it were only like a day away, but it's not and everyone is really tired right now and needs a rest. We don't really know when we'll be going back out or what we'll be doing in the next few days so I can't really write much now because I don't know much. So, like I said, I just wanted to let everyone know we're still home! I think I'll go catch up on writing letters and reading now!

Home Again...But Not For Long

Hey everyone,
This past week went by so fast, I can't believe it's already Saturday! This is going to be a really short post because I'm in a hurry, so if it doesn't make too much sense, that's why.

Okay, we found a house that we really liked and put an offer in, but ended up not getting it. Although it's definitely disappointing we know that the Lord only closed that door because he has something better waiting for us.

We looked at twenty-two houses in three days. It doesn't seem like looking at houses would be tiring, but it is! It might be fun at first, but after a while it's boring and if you can't find anything you like, it's also kind of depressing.

Since we didn't get that house we're going to head back up there tomorrow morning to have another go at it. We're just trying to keep from renting because in our situation that would make things pretty complicated.

I have to go, clothes need to be washed and bags packed up again. Bye again for another week!

Oh, sorry I can't respond to comments right now, I hope y'all understand!
